Neymar made his long-awaited return to the Brazilian national team in the 2026 FIFA World Cup Group C match against Scotland on Wednesday.
This is the striker’s first match for the national team in 980 days, since the encounter against Uruguay in 2023.
The 34-year-old came off the bench in the 76th minute to replace Matheus Cunha in the Brazilian XI as he made his 14th World Cup appearance.
Neymar has scored eight goals so far and set up another four at the World Cup. He had missed the first two group matches of this tournament after suffering an injury in the run-up to the tournament.
