Goal in just 70 seconds — Saibari scores the fastest goal of the 2026 FIFA World Cup during Scotland vs Morocco

Ismael Saibari scored a goal for Morocco against Scotland in just 70 seconds at Boston Stadium on Friday, making it the fastest goal of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The Moroccan striker received a long-range pass in Scotland’s penalty area, took it to the right and fired a shot into the far corner past the Scottish custodian. The PSV Eindhoven attacker also scored for Morocco against Brazil in the previous match.

The goal was also the fastest goal for Morocco at the World Cup, which is making its seventh appearance at the global event.

Although this is the fastest goal of this tournament, it is still far from the fastest goal in World Cup history. Hakan Sukur of Turkiye holds the record for the fastest goal, which he scored in 11 seconds against South Korea in 2002.
