Lake City is a city trapped in the past with a lot of charm. Many historic houses and log cabins. The historic district dates back to 1874. It is located in the mountains and offers many outdoor activities. There are ATV trails in the mountains, fishing, hunting, hiking, mountain biking, and plenty of camping opportunities. Many Texans and Oklahomans have second homes here. The year-round resident population is only about 500 people.
ButThe time has come to move on. The next city is Salida, 100 miles away. Colorado’s climbs will still be steep up to about 13,000 feet in elevation and the views will still be epic. Keep going!
