Has France qualified for the 32nd round of 2026 FIFA World Cup?

France continued their winning run in the 2026 FIFA World Cup with a 3-0 victory over Iraq in their group stage match at the Philadelphia Stadium on Monday.

Kylian Mbappé opened the scoring with a brilliant long-distance run in the first half, but poor weather conditions delayed the match’s restart. In the second half, the Real Madrid forward scored after an assist from Michael Olise, while Ousmane Dembele put the competition to bed with his first goal in this edition of the tournament.

It was the second win in a row for The Blues – a result that confirmed France’s place in the round of 16 of this World Cup.

The 2026 edition of the World Cup will feature an expanded roster of 48 teams in the first round, with the top two teams from each group and the eight best third-place teams qualifying for the round of 32.
