Despite the disappointing start, Bosnia and Herzegovina remains in contention for a place in the Round of 32. Under the expanded 48-team format, the top two teams from each group and the eight best third-placed sides will advance to the knockout stages, giving the Bosnians their first chance to reach the World Cup knockouts.
