Mohammedan SC’s time in the Indian Super League could be drawing closer to the end, with heavy rain delaying play and hopes of a miraculous comeback against Mumbai City FC at the Salt Lake Stadium in Calcutta on Friday.
Mumbai City FC were leading 3-0 when play was stopped. Sahil Panwar scored for Zothanpuia shortly after kick-off and an own goal from Sajad Hussain added to Mohammedan’s problems.
Both teams were seen inside the tunnel discussing the possibility of continuing play with the match officials as rain lashed the venue in Kolkata.
The footage also showed lightning and heavy rain, which could further delay proceedings.
