England scored twice in the second half to beat Panama 2-0 and win the World Cup Group L on Saturday, with Jude Bellingham and Harry Kane both on the scoresheet.
Bellingham poked the ball home from a corner midway through the second half, allowing England fans to breathe a sigh of relief after a listless start that saw them fear a repeat of their earlier goalless draw against Ghana.
He assisted on the second goal five minutes later, passing captain Kane, who headed in the goal to become England’s all-time record goalscorer at the World Cup on 11, ahead of former striker Gary Lineker (10).
England will play a team in third place in the round of 32.
