Indian organization SKASports Investments Private Limited on Saturday announced the acquisition of a minority stake in NSG Global Pte Ltd, the parent and management company of Singapore Premier League club FC Jurong.
The team, currently known as Albirex Niigata Football Club, competes in the top tier and plays its matches at the Jurong East Stadium and is one of eight teams that make up the first tier.
Founded in 2004, it has six league titles to its name, including the famous undefeated ‘Invincible’ season of 2018. It is second in the table in the current season and has officially announced a name change to FC Jurong, which will be implemented from the 2026-2027 season.

The club’s women’s team won the Singapore Women’s Premier League in September 2025 and qualified for the preliminary round of the AFC Women’s Champions League for the 2026–2027 season.
The partnership will see both SKASports and FC Jurong work together to enhance the club’s sporting and business profile and explore new opportunities for commercial and sporting ventures in the Asian market.
