Cyle Larin came off the bench to score a late equalizer for Canada against Bosnia and Herzegovina in their 2026 FIFA World Cup opener in Toronto on Friday.
Larin came on for Tani Oluwaseyi in the 76th minute and converted from an assist from Promise David to rattle the net and restore parity in front of a packed home crowd.
Who is Cyle Larin?
Larin is one of the oldest members of Canada’s squad for the 2026 World Cup. The 31-year-old is only second in the list of most appearances for Canada – level with Jonathan Osorio – and second in the list of most goals for the Reds, with 31 goals.
The forward spent the 2025/26 season on loan at Southampton, scoring ten times and assisting two more as the Saints reached the Championship play-offs.
More to follow.
