England forward Beth Mead has signed a three-year contract from rivals Arsenal to Women’s Super League champions Manchester City.
During her nine years at Arsenal, Mead won the Women’s Super League title, three League Cups and a UEFA Champions League. She also holds the record for most assists in the WSL (54).
«I’m very proud to be here. It’s clear that City had a great season last year and I’m excited to start a new chapter here,» Mead said in a statement on Manchester City’s website.
«I think the way City play suits me very well and I feel it can bring something extra out of my game.»
Mead was also prolific for the England national team, scoring 40 goals in 81 senior games. She was a crucial part of the victories at the 2022 and 2025 European Championships and finished the 2022 edition as top scorer, top assist and Player of the Tournament.
