Friendly city
We spent two zeros in the Quality Inn, which was cheap and well located in the city. A free transport ran to the city while we made our various errands. The first day zero was to dry our entire team and reach urgent attention. Zero Day Number 2 basically expected the packages to arrive.
The people of Waynesboro were very kind. We were able to get several people trips in the city when we could not take the free ferry.
Goodbye for now
It was an cryor goodbye of Kneaterz. Trail Angel Noelle came to grab her and then leave me in Rockfish Gap. After hundreds of walking miles with Knockerz, I was now walking for one.
The interstate roar began to decrease when I left the rock fish gap to the Shennies. We had packed and repaired my food several times trying to lighten the load. There are restaurants and camps in the Shennies, but I am not planning another replenishment until I leave the Shennies 100 miles more or less here. So I have a heavy load while I make the first climb.
Virginia is flat
The general elevation through the Shennies seems more domesticated than we had already happened. My goal is not to exaggerate and walk too many miles until it is ready. I will be establishing my own rhythm that unfortunately I have pushed me too much in the past and caused wounds.
It is a quite warm sunny day, but in the forest it is a little fresher. The path has been quite crossing so far with just some rocks, but nothing bad. Water haules are a bit long. I have eight miles before my first source of water for which I don’t have to go too far. I think another 13 miles are approaching.

Green Tunnel
The path has been a green tunnel without incident with very few views so far. The calls and I have a unique call when we are trying to locate ourselves in the forest. I just gave that call and, of course, there was no answer.
I saw a curve on the road and listened to a buzz of one billion bees. Then I could smell it. A sweet smell of some type of plant that had these small white flowers that smelled so sweet.
Then I took a short walk to Beagle Gap. There were not many cars on the road, but it was 10 ° hotter to the sun on the road.
Alone too
After Beagle Gap, I returned to the path that went up to Little Barry Mountain. It was there that I met the staunch. She was really reserving it in her first slack package.
Her husband had an injury that took it today and he is supporting her on the way so that she can continue north when packing. It will be out of the way for 4 to 6 weeks. We both lamented how strange it was without our partner along the way with us.
The views in the small mountain of the calf were very beautiful views of the green mountains that rolled east.
