Future of ISL – AFC officials meet AIFF president to discuss league, National Sports Governance Act

Senior officials of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC), including secretary-general Datuk Seri Windsor John, held talks with the top brass of the All India Football Federation (AIFF) on a range of issues – including the Indian Super League (ISL) and the National Sports Governance Act – in the capital on Friday.

The AFC delegation met AIFF president Kalyan Chaubey and other office bearers, with the discussions mainly focusing on next season’s ISL, the federation’s constitution and the sports law.

The AIFF officials briefed the AFC delegation on the current structural status of the Constitution and its enforcement around the National Sports Governance Act, 2025.

The AIFF said the AFC assured the national federation of its continued administrative support, guidance and assistance in all football matters going forward.
