Although he broke out all afternoon yesterday, there was no rain at night. I heard a thunder in the distance throughout the night, and the winds got up, so I closed my rainfly. Nick left his open, and luckily, he doesn’t rain.
Our Beaver Pond camp still has active beavers; We saw them swimming.
We had 9 miles to get to the crossing of the road for our city stay. There were only 6 miles to reach the Massachusetts border and the beginning of the long path.
Three states have been completed! Only eleven more to go!

We had some beautiful views that came down from the crest, followed by a difficult rock section. Then it was a soft navigation. Three miles this to get to the road.

The rest of our day involved a refueling in a beautiful grocery store and publishing outside it to adapt to our booties inside our packages. We walked both miles to the motel in Williamstown, and it was hot! The pavement does not offer refuge as trees, although it is flat. Our motel room was fine. Nothing luxurious, maybe a little expensive for what we were really getting. Supposedly, breakfast is decent.
We walk the local changing rooms called nature’s closet. As we had shower and had washed clothes, when we asked about the exchange of our hard and hard socks, the workers told us it was only for active hikers. We explained that we were already cleaned and happily helped us.

We jump through the street to a pizzeria. We divided a plate of Poppers Jalapeño, and each received a buffalo chicken salad. I was not satisfied, so I asked for a single slice of cheese pizza. Nick had about 10 donuts since we left the grocery store, so he did not participate in a portion. Subsequently we got some ice cream and sat down in beautiful chairs before returning to the motel.
Tomorrow we climb the culminating point of Massachusetts, and then we have done it. Be soft while we can resist heat!
