Iran made history in the United States of America at the 2026 FIFA World Cup when they drew goalless against Belgium in the group stage on Sunday.
Team Melli had started the tournament with a 2-2 draw against New Zealand and in the next match, a brave performance from goalkeeper Alireza Beiranvand prevented the Red Devils from breaking their fortress.
With the result, Iran set a unique personal record in the tournament: for the first time the country is undefeated after two matches in the FIFA World Cup.
