One-time world champions Spain have named their 26-man squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which starts on June 11 in the United States, Mexico and Canada.
Head coach Luis de la Fuente, who guided Spain to UEFA Euro 2024 glory, has put together a well-balanced squad for the tournament.
Barcelona forward Lamine Yamal will be one of the players to watch, although he is likely to miss Spain’s opening group stage match due to injury.
However, La Roja will have to make do without midfielder Fermin Lopez, who underwent surgery last week after breaking his foot.
Spain will play pre-tournament friendlies against Iraq on June 4 and Peru on June 8 before heading to the World Cup.
Spain, drawn in Group H alongside Cape Verde, Saudi Arabia and Uruguay, will start their campaign against Cape Verde on June 14.
