welcome to Sportstar’s live coverage of the 2026 FIFA World Cup match between England and Croatia at Dallas Stadium on Wednesday.
The two sides meet for the first time in the quadrennial event since the 2018 World Cup semi-final, when the Balkan side broke English hearts when Mario Mandzukic scored the extra-time winner.
After coming close twice under Gareth Southgate, England have set their sights on German coach Thomas Tuchel to help the side win the World Cup for the first time since 1966.
Croatia enjoyed two successful campaigns in 2018 and 2022 but are in the middle of a transition period with senior players Luka Modric, Mateo Kovacic and Ivan Perisic reaching the end of their careers.
