Cristiano Ronaldo scored twice as Al Nassr defeated Damac 4-1 at Al-Awwal Park in Riyadh on Thursday to win the Saudi Pro League title on the final day of the season.
The result ended Al Nassr’s wait for a league title, their first since the 2018/19 season, and gave Ronaldo his first major trophy with the Saudi club. The Portuguese forward, left frustrated by last week’s final AFC Champions League Two defeat to Gamba Osaka, responded with two second-half goals on a night when Al Nassr turned pressure into celebration.
Sadio Mane put Al Nassr ahead in the 33rd minute, rising unmarked in the middle to guide Joao Felix’s corner into the net. Felix had been lively in the first half, floating between the right and the middle, while Mane continually asked questions about the Damac defense.
Damac, who fought to avoid relegation, stayed in the match for a long time and gave themselves hope after the break when Morlaye Sylla converted a penalty in the 58th minute. But Al Nassr’s response was immediate and decisive.
Kingsley Coman restored the hosts’ cushion with two goals in the 52nd minute, finishing after cutting in from the right. Ronaldo then took control of the match. His first goal came from a free-kick from a tight angle, with the striker wrapping his foot around the ball and sending it through a crowd of bodies before it settled into the net.

The 41-year-old added his second in the 81st minute after further good work from Coman. The Frenchman drove in from the right, looked up and picked out his captain, who made no mistake from the center to seal victory and the title.
Al Nassr dominated the match, finishing with 62.1 percent possession, 13 shots and eight on target, while Damac scored just three attempts and one on target.
The defeat, coupled with Al Riyadh’s victory over Al Okhdood, confirmed Damac’s relegation. For Al Nassr, however, the final whistle meant liberation. After missed opportunities in previous competitions and an embarrassing defeat in the continental final, Ronaldo and Al Nassr finally had their Saudi national title.
